Vista III Media Announces Cable System upgrade in
Ashland, Hickory Flat and Potts Camp
(June 6, 2005) -
Vista III Media, LLC ("Vista") announced today that it was beginning the first phase of the upgrade of the cable systems in Ashland, Hickory Flat and Potts Camp. The systems will be rebuilt and integrated with Vista's technically advanced Northern Mississippi fiber network. During the coming weeks, customers will be notified as they are converted to the new system. Subscribers will immediately notice a new line-up with up to 40 new analog channels, which is just one of the benefits. Digital Cable is being introduced with 75 video channels, 30 Digital music channels, and access to 10 channels of High Definition TV (HDTV). Customers in Ashland, Hickory Flat and Potts Camp will be among the first in Mississippi to enjoy Video on Demand (VOD). In addition, to the new channels and On Demand programming, customers in these communities can enjoy the benefits of Digital Video Recorders (DVRs).
Video on Demand is a new service, unavailable on satellite, which puts the TV viewer in control and completely changes the TV viewing experience. VOD provides access to hundreds of hours of programming instantly. The viewer can pause, rewind and fast forward for the ultimate in convenience. The programming includes hours of free viewing, current movies and specials, and quality children's programming. Customers that subscribe to HBO or other premium Digital Services will have exclusive access to specials, series and films, at no additional cost. On Demand programming is like having dozens of new channels, and lets the viewer decide what he wants to watch, when he wants to watch it!
