Announces Cable System upgrade in
Calhoun City, Derma, and Vardaman
(April 18, 2005) - Vista III Media, LLC ("Vista") announced today that it has purchased the cable systems serving Iuka, Bruce, Calhoun City, Coffeeville, Snow Lake, Potts Camp, Hickory Flat, Mississippi and Red Bay, Alabama from Galaxy Communications.
Vista currently operates cable systems in Oxford, Booneville, New Albany, Guntown, Amory, Aberdeen, Holly Springs, Pontotoc, Houston, Water Valley and several other communities in Northeast Mississippi.
Vista intends to upgrade, interconnect and integrate the system with its existing cable properties in Northeast Mississippi and provide advanced services and products. These will include High Speed Internet, Video-On-Demand (VOD) which provides customers with up to 1500 hours of programming at the touch of a button at the customer's convenience; Digital Video Recorders (DVR) which allow customers to pause live TV, record up to 40 hours of their favorite programming and bypass commercials; and High Definition TV (HDTV). Also planned for this year is a Digital Phone Service which will provide a low cost, full service local and long distance telephone alternative.
Vista Regional Manager Roger Shearer stated "When we complete our system upgrade and launch these products later this year, our customers will be served by one of the most advanced cable systems in the country, regardless of size."
