VISTA III Media To Upgrade
Holly Springs
February 4, 2004 - Vista III Media announced today that it will begin the upgrade of the Holly Springs cable television system in early March. The entire system should be upgraded by mid May. Customers can keep apprised of the upgrade activities in their area by tuning to Channel 19 for daily updates. Customers will also receive mail notification about one week before the work begins in their neighborhood.
Once the upgrade is completed in a neighborhood the customer will begin viewing a new channel line-up. The Expanded service will have an additional 30 channels. Some of the new channels on the Expanded tier will include The Learning Channel, Animal Planet, History Channel, TV Food Network, Home & Garden TV, Outdoor Life Channel, National Geographic, ABC Family Channel, MSNBC, Travel Channel, Golf Channel and many more. Customers will receive a new channel line-up in the mail. Customers may also need to auto program their TV's to receive the new channels.
Besides the new channels on the Expanded tier, Vista will also be offering Digital Services featuring 31 Digital Basic Services, 30 channels of Digital music, 43 premium movie channels and 22 channels of PPV movies and events. Additionally, Vista will also launch High Speed Internet Service. Vista-Express connects customers to the Internet at speeds up to 1.5 mbps which is 20 times faster than a dial-up service. The service also offers up to 5 e-mail addresses, 24/7 support and personal web space.
Vista Regional Manager Roger Shearer said "Vista is thrilled to offer Holly Springs a state-of-the-art cable system. Not only will we begin offering up to 180 channels of TV and High Speed Internet services, but we also plan on offering High Definition TV (HDTV), Digital Video Recorders (DVRS) and Video-On-Demand (VOD) sometime before the end of the year.
